Search documents

Use this journey to find a document by its name, its content, or a phrase that includes a date.

Before you start

You have a company administrator or technical profile. Search covers the text extracted from documents when they were uploaded.

Steps

  1. Type in the search box at the top of the Document Center (Search processes and documents) and press Enter. From the Dashboard, Search documents opens the same page. Search documents opens and runs the search.

  2. To search again, type in the box on the page (Try: RG sent today, contracts this month…) and select Search.

  3. To limit by date, write the period in plain words with the rest of the search. The page shows how it read your phrase under Understood as:, for example "contracts" and This month.

    You write (English or Portuguese)Period
    today / hojeToday
    yesterday / ontemYesterday
this week / esta semanaFrom Monday to now
this month / este mêsThis month
this year / este anoThis year
last 30 days / últimos 30 diasThe last N days (up to 999)
  4. (Optional) Under Filters, select a value to narrow the results; select it again to remove it.

  5. Select a result to open its Document details.

Expected result

Each result shows the document name, its file type (for example PDF), the matching passage with the words highlighted, its date and its relevance score.

How to confirm it worked

The document you expected is in the list, and the Understood as: line shows the text and period you meant.

If something goes wrong

Known limitations

  • The box at the top says processes and documents, but the results are documents only. To find a process, use Processes (see Follow a process).

Observed on 2026-10-18 in DEV: a word in the names of synthetic documents returned them with Understood as:, the filters MIME, Status, Confidentiality and tag keys, and a document uploaded minutes before.

Not observed: how the relevance score is computed, and whether text inside scanned images is searchable.
