Queue emptyNo documents to review right now.
Reason missingConfirm reject does nothing; no message is shown
Return availableReturn to requester enabled
Return confirmationN rejected document(s) will be sent back for the requester to correct. M pending document(s) will be APPROVED BY OMISSION, without being reviewed. (N and M are the counts), Confirm return, Cancel
Return unavailableReturn to requester disabled, with one of: This process did not come from the Portal, so there is no requester to return it to. Use Reject. · Reject at least one document before returning the process to the requester. (observed) · Every document is already decided; the process is closed automatically. · This review is not open for your decision (finished, or in review by someone else). — shown when the review no longer waits for a decision
Return failedCould not return the process to the requester. or the service's reason, which may be in Portuguese — for example when another reviewer holds the review (Documento em avaliação por …) or your access is limited to specific queues (Avaliação em massa indisponível…); the button is enabled in both cases
Return doneThe service's confirmation, in Portuguese, with the count of documents approved by omission (Processo devolvido ao solicitante…); in English only Process returned to the requester.

Consequences. Opening a document reserves it for you; leaving releases it. When every document of the process is decided, the review closes and the process moves on, is returned to the requester, or ends as failed. Confirm return closes the review before that: undecided documents are approved by omission and recorded as such in the dossier timeline, and the process is returned to the requester. A review that already has a rejection and gets no new decision for 24 hours closes the same way by itself, recorded as a System event.

From the product, not walked: the return confirmation, Confirm return and the Return done and Return failed states. The disabled state with Reject at least one document… was observed.

Not observed: approving, choosing a type under Classify document, correcting extracted fields, what another reviewer sees while a document is reserved, and what a reviewer outside the queue sees.
